Over 20 miles of trails ringing the top of Raccoon Mountain. There are some great views of the Tennessee River in the valley below, and some really cool rocks and cliffs to look at along the hike.
From Chattanooga, take I-24 W toward Nashville/Birmingham approx 3 mile. Take exit 175 for Browns Ferry Rd toward Lookout Mountain/Mountain View Dr. Turn right at Browns Ferry Rd. Go about 9/10's of a mile and turn left at Elder Mountain Rd. From SORBA - Chattanooga: "Take the TVA Road to the top of the mountain and park in the East Brow Parking Lot on your left. The trail head is marked with a small sign so it may be a little difficult to find your first time out. After parking in the east brow parking lot, get on your bike and ride back out of the parking lot. The trail head is located in the woods directly across TVA road from the east brow parking lot's entrance."
